Enes Kanter Education Fund

Embrace Relief is proud to announce a new partnership with NBA starting center, Enes Kanter of the Oklahoma City.

Embrace Relief, in cooperation with Mr. Kanter, will be establishing a scholarship fund for new college freshmen. As many of you know, Embrace Relief is dedicated to assisting our local communities in need and helping those who are financially struggling.

The cost of higher education in the United States is incredibly high and is only continuing to rise, making it even more difficult for a growing number of people. According to the College Board, the average cost of tuition and fees for the 2013–2014 school year was $30,094 at private colleges, $8,893 for state residents at public colleges, and $22,203 for out-of-state residents attending public universities. For the majority of students, the only way to attend college is through securing student loans which often times only cover the cost of tuition.

There are several expenses that a college student faces other than tuition, including books, school supplies and transportation.
Because of this, Embrace Relief along with Enes Kanter, is starting a scholarship program to offer selected students $2,500 to assist them their first year in college. In order to help as many people as possible, Embrace Relief will be collecting donations towards this scholarship fund from November 1, 2014 through April 31, 2015. enes0W4
Mr. Kanter has committed to donating $100 every other day over the course of the next 6 months and has also donated several incentives to encourage outside contributions towards this campaign. Should you wish to donate an amount not listed in the rewards, please click here. Every $1 counts. The following are rewards for established donation levels:
