Food Drive

In 2011, 46.2 million people (15.0 percent) were in poverty and 50.1 million Americans lived in food insecure households, 33.5 million adults and 16.7 million children”. Food insecure families are so limited in their resources to buy food that they are running out of food, reducing the quality of their food, cutting out meat, feeding their children unbalanced meals, or skipping meals so that their children can eat. Embrace Relief’s biggest priority is the fighting with hunger.

Embrace Relief is holding a food drive. The collected items will be distributed to local shelters and food pantries. We distribute more than 100,000 lbs. of food each year across the country.

Embrace Relief accepts following items;

  • Canned tuna, chicken, turkey or beef
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Cereal
  • Beans – dried or canned
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Boxed meals
  • Pasta and pasta sauces
  • Rice
  • Fruit juice
  • Soup
  • Canned fruit and vegetables 
  • Sugar and flour
  • Coffee, tea and drink mix
