Flood in Bosnia

Soma Mining Disaster

On May 13,2014  a mining disaster claimed the lives of nearly 300 miners in Soma in Manisa, Turkey. According to reports the death toll is still rising. The disaster was caused by a fire in the mine. Efforts were made to save the victims, however, only 88 have been rescued. Wildlife Fire in Arizona

19 elite firefighters were killed in a wildlife fire on June 30th. The fire claimed more lives than any other disaster since 9/11. The fire consumed more than 8,000 acres of forest and wildlife.
