World Water Day, on 22 March every year, is about taking action to tackle the water crisis in the world.
One of the sustainable development goals of the UN for 2030 is to ensure everyone has access to safe water. Unfortunately, 1.8 billion people use a source of drinking water contaminated with feces today, putting them at risk of contracting cholera, dysentery, typhoid, and polio.
The solution Embrace Relief has adopted is installing water wells with hand pumps in regions with little or no access to drinking water. To this day, Embrace Relief provided clean drinking water to almost 250,000 people who lack access to safe water in various parts of the world.
People around the globe are making an impact today by exploring opportunities to support this annual event. We encourage you to do the same.
