Azra’s Journey: A Story of Hope and Resilience

Campaign story

About this campaign

The funds raised by this campaign will support two wells: one for constructing a new well and the other for repairing an existing well.

Two years ago, our world was turned upside down when our beloved daughter, Azra, was diagnosed with B-ALL Leukemia. The news was devastating; our vibrant, lively child was suddenly facing the battle of her life. We embarked on a long, arduous journey filled with countless hospital visits, chemotherapy sessions, and moments of fear and uncertainty. But through it all, Azra remained strong. Her courage became our beacon of hope.

In the midst of this challenging journey, a glimmer of hope appeared—our son, Azra’s younger brother, was a perfect match for a bone marrow transplant. It was an emotional moment for our family, knowing that her brother’s donation could be the key to Azra’s survival. The transplant was successful, and after two long years of treatment, our prayers were answered: Azra is now a survivor.

Why clean water campaigns matter.

Clean water campaigns help communities replace unsafe rivers, ponds, and shallow wells with dependable water access.

Embrace Relief's clean water work includes new wells, well repairs, field verification, annual maintenance, and donor reporting.

Deep-aquifer wells help reduce exposure to surface contamination and waterborne illness.

Nearby water access gives time back to families, especially women and girls.

Full well projects can include naming, photos, location details, completion reporting, warranty, and annual maintenance.
