Campaign story

About this campaign

We know that this year has been full of surprises. We didn’t expect to be hit by a pandemic and be on lockdown for more than half of 2020. And despite this unprecedented time, we still all came together as one to help people in need who were greatly affected by the coronavirus. We showed that no matter what challenges come our way, we will always be united to help one another.

As the holiday season is coming, we want to start a campaign focusing on the people who are always excited the most about the holidays, the children. Children are one of the most affected populations of this pandemic. Especially children in the vulnerable areas of the world, they don’t have the privilege of having easy access to clean water and hygienic supplies which are crucial to combat the coronavirus, nor the luxury of having three or more meals in a day. They had to adapt to this new challenging norm on top of already having their everyday struggle.

We want to reach children in the most vulnerable areas and provide them with one of the most essential necessities, FOOD. According to Our World in Data, 22% of children younger than five are ‘stunted’ – they are significantly shorter than the average for their age, as a consequence of poor nutrition or repeated infection. In addition, Food For Life stated that 1 in 6 children (100 million) in developing nations is underweight and 1 in 4 of the world’s children are stunted. And across the globe, 50.5 million children are estimated to be underweight for their height.

With your holiday spirit and generosity, we are planning to send food packages to children in Greece, Yemen, Tanzania, Congo, Kenya, and Uganda. You can also make these children happy for a year by supporting their orphanages with monthly donations. We are kindly asking for your help to make these children feel that they are remembered and seen this holiday season.

Hunger Relief Program

Why hunger relief campaigns matter.

Hunger relief campaigns help families access practical food support when daily meals, pantry staples, or emergency food distributions are needed.

Embrace Relief food work can include food packages, hot meals, bread distribution, pantry support, and local partner coordination.

Food packages prepared for hunger relief distribution

Food support can respond to urgent household needs and ongoing community food insecurity.

Campaigns may support meals, staples, logistics, and partner-led distribution.

Once and monthly donations can both help keep food access more predictable.
