About this campaign
My sister Nurdan Safak was a dedicated history professor, a beacon of strength and resilience. At the tender age of ten, she became the caretaker of our family after the loss of our father. Despite the immense challenges she faced, she excelled in her studies and pursued her passion for teaching. Even as she battled breast cancer, enduring chemotherapy, radiation, and countless hospitalizations, she remained dedicated to her students.
Her unwavering spirit and commitment to education were an inspiration to all who knew her. Her funeral was a testament to the profound impact she had on the lives of her students, colleagues, and loved ones. In honor of her memory and her dream of providing clean water to those in need, I am undertaking this water well project in Africa.
