Campaign story

About this campaign

Funds raised from this project will go towards the construction of a water well in an underprivileged village in Tanzania, expanding access to safe drinking water to at least 1,000 local residents.

Clean water is the lifeblood of any community. Without clean water, community members are at risk of contracting deadly waterborne diseases and may struggle to grow enough food. Children, especially young girls, bear the brunt of a lack of clean water. They often spend hours each day walking to the nearest water source to collect it – time that could be better spent in school, learning and growing.

By reaching our fundraising goal, Youth Island and the Helping Hands Club aim to construct a water well that will promote public health, the local economy, and women’s equality.

But we need your support to reach that goal. A gift of any amount will take us closer to making clean water a reality for hundreds of families in Tanzania. Donate today using the donation box above and help us make a powerful impact that will last for years to come!

Clean Water Program

Why clean water campaigns matter.

Clean water campaigns help communities replace unsafe rivers, ponds, and shallow wells with dependable water access.

Embrace Relief's clean water work includes new wells, well repairs, field verification, annual maintenance, and donor reporting.

Deep-aquifer wells help reduce exposure to surface contamination and waterborne illness.

Nearby water access gives time back to families, especially women and girls.

Full well projects can include naming, photos, location details, completion reporting, warranty, and annual maintenance.
