A cataract is a progressive disease of the eye or eyes that causes severe blurry or discolored vision which can lead to complete blindness if not treated properly.

One of the main goals of our fundraiser is to involve our students in community service, help them be aware of the struggles of some communities around the world and here in the U.S., and to use this organization as a part of a project in our school club. 

We want to sponsor 50 cataract surgeries and help people in Mali, Africa to have their sight back.
