Helping Hands Club at Brooklyn Amity School aims to fundraise for a bathroom renovation project at a school in Tanzania, which will provide students there with a cleaner, healthier environment in which they can achieve the full potential of their education.
We take them for granted here in the U.S., but bathroom facilities are a luxury out of reach in many countries. In Tanzania, less than half of all rural public schools possess proper toilet facilities, and functional handwashing stations exist in less than 45 percent of rural school buildings. In these areas, students are at risk for diseases that can spread very easily in an unsanitary environment, causing long-term health effects and even stunting their growth. And for young girls, a lack of proper facilities often means they must stay home from school during their periods, causing learning loss that holds them back.
Helping Hands Club at Brooklyn Amity School is determined to change this situation and make life better for our friends in Tanzania. We are aiming to raise $3,500, which will go towards the renovation of new bathroom stalls at a school in Tanzania. This gift will make a priceless impact on the lives of hundreds of students every year. Please, donate today and help us perform this small act of kindness that will make our world a better place.
We have achieved our goal for this campaign.
We appreciate your ongoing support.
