We all having lived in Nigeria before moving to Canada, we know and understand the numerous challenges and hardship individuals and communities face due to poverty in Nigeria. Knowing that women, mothers and children walk for hours to fetch water (some of us have experienced this personally growing up in Nigeria) and how lack of access to clean water has led to transmission of diseases such as cholera, diarrhoea, dysentery, hepatitis A, typhoid and polio and other killer diseases. We have raised funds and pooled resources to build a well for a community in Nigeria, to make a difference in the lives of women and children back home. We feel honoured and to give back to our community in our own little way.
