The Service Without Borders team from Fulton Science Academy embarked on a transformative journey to Tanzania over spring break together with Embrace Relief, driven by their Clean Water Group Fundraising project’s mission to build water wells and support orphanages. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the FSA community, they funded the construction of five water wells and provided essential supplies and food to orphanages. Their return home marks the end of an unforgettable adventure, filled with profound experiences and invaluable lessons.
During their trip, they visited an orphanage in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's capital, where they delivered food and heartfelt Love Letters written by FSA elementary students. Witnessing the joy and gratitude in the orphans' eyes was both heart-wrenching and motivating. They also participated in water well opening ceremonies in villages in the Bagamoyo and Pwani regions, addressing the significant challenge of water scarcity. Each well serves dozens of families and neighboring villages, highlighting the far-reaching impact of their efforts.
Throughout their journey, they contemplated the extent of their potential impact and future initiatives. In conclusion, their trip to Tanzania was a life-changing experience that allowed them to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. The memories and lessons from this trip will stay with them forever, reminding them of the profound impact they can have when we come together with compassion and determination.
We have achieved our goal for this campaign.
