Dormitory Van, Turkey
After the earthquake of 7,2 magnitude, more than 600 people died and many were injured. Many buildings collapsed and most were damaged. Embrace Relief sent food, blankets and clothes to be distributed in Van. Many were left homeless, so Embrace Relief set up tent to provide temporary housing for the victims.
Embrace Relief responds quickly to disasters but also focuses on long term solutions to the problems that these disasters cause. Therefore Embrace Relief is building a dormitory in Van, Turkey that will house 200 students. The dormitory will be completed by September 2013.
