Although access to clean water is necessary to sustain life, millions of people throughout the world are lacking. Embrace Relief recognizes the severity of this issue and strives towards implementing global solutions by providing clean water to those deprived of this basic necessity. This paper discusses Embrace Relief’s actions in relation to guaranteeing clean water for all by constructing water wells in water-scarce regions and implementing educational programs that provide expertise on well maintenance.

The construction of water wells allows for access to clean water. Besides the known health benefits of having access to clean water, providing access to water results in the creation of healthy, flourishing communities. This paper examines the importance of NGOs’, such as Embrace Relief, support for water well initiatives to promote the production of sustainable communities.

Africa faces many challenges as a result of an extremely high poverty rate. Some of the many issues plaguing Africa as a result of poverty include a lack of food and water, healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment. Embrace Relief recognizes these issues and intervenes to provide aid for the people of Africa. This paper details Embrace Relief’s innovative model for creating sustainable improvements in the lives of beneficiaries.

Tanzania has a large amount of impoverished individuals who are unable to satisfy their basic needs of food, shelter, and clothing. Abiding by Maslow’s Theory, Embrace Relief assists through fulfilling both physical and psychological needs of those in need of our assistance. This paper analyzes Embrace Relief’s role in reducing poverty by emphasizing personal development efforts and effectively allocating resources.

Nigeria is in desperate need of clean water sources as only 67% of the total population has access to a basic water supply. Embrace Relief recognizes how Nigeria’s lack of clean water sources has had adverse effects on the geography, soil, and overall health of the population. This paper analyzes the need for water wells in Nigeria that would provide people with access to clean water sources essential for sustaining health and humanity.

In Africa, shallow water wells can limit the availability of clean water, as they are susceptible to harmful contamination. Embrace Relief recognizes that shallow water wells can cause a multitude of problems, such as increased occurrence of disease and bacterial water contamination. This paper details Embrace Relief’s methodology of providing clean water by ensuring that water wells are at least 45 meters deep and free of contaminants.

Embrace Relief surveyed villagers in five rural communities in the African country of Chad to determine their local water needs, where and how they collect the water they use daily, and how they would be impacted by the building of a water well. Responses from this survey informed Embrace Relief’s outlook on selecting sites for wells built under our Clean Water Initiative.
