55 Cataract Surgeries

The Bunker Hill Community College located in Boston, Massachusetts, has started a Group FUNdraiser through Embrace Relief to sponsor cataract surgeries in Mali, Africa. Most people in Africa, especially those over a certain age, suffer from cataracts. However, due to malnutrition, illness, and climate conditions, cataracts also affects children. Insufficient resources, equipment, and financial conditions have prohibited thousands of people from getting the necessary operations – which can be done as little as 15 minutes. They have decided to raise money for cataract surgeries in Africa to find a solution.
