The Sustainable Entrepreneurship through Eggs and Dairy (SEED) Program exemplifies this commitment by equipping women in Uganda, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, and Afghanistan with livestock and comprehensive training in agro-entrepreneurship. This initiative not only enhances participants’ agricultural knowledge but also cultivates their entrepreneurial spirit, enabling them to establish sustainable businesses and generate income for themselves and their families. This year, the SEED program has achieved significant milestones. 65 women received goats and chickens, equipping them with the resources and knowledge needed to start their own sustainable businesses. These ventures not only enhance their economic independence but also contribute to community development. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization, livestock can significantly improve household incomes and food security, making SEED’s impact even more profound.

The importance of the SEED program in women’s empowerment cannot be overstated.
