2018 has been a catastrophic year for California with several wildfires, but the most recent three have been the most destructive: As a result of Camp Fire affecting the northern part of the state and Woolsey and Hill scorching Southern California, hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced and thousands of homes have been destroyed. The Camp Fire has turned into the most destructive fire in the state’s history and is responsible for the death of 29 people, has already burned more than 110,000 acres and is only about 25 percent contained. Another 88,000 acres have been scorched in Southern California by the two fires called the Woolsey and Hill. Statewide, about 149,000 are still under orders to leave their homes.
