About this campaign
Welcome to our fundraising page! We are a passionate student group dedicated to making a difference in the lives of individuals in Mali, Africa, by providing much-needed cataract surgeries. You might be surprised to learn that cataracts affect people of all ages, including children as young as 8 years old. In Mali, factors such as harsh weather conditions, malnutrition, and traumatic injuries contribute to the prevalence of cataracts among young individuals. These conditions not only impair vision but also hinder children's ability to learn, play, and thrive.

With your support, we aim to provide access to life-changing cataract surgeries for 50 people suffering from fixable blindness. By removing cataracts and restoring vision, we can help individuals of all ages in Mali overcome barriers to education, social interaction, and economic opportunities. Your donation will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for children and families affected by this debilitating condition. Together, we can bring clarity and hope to those living with cataracts in Mali.
