Campaign story

About this campaign

In Afghanistan, countless young girls dream of pursuing higher education but face insurmountable barriers due to socio-economic challenges. With one of the lowest female literacy rates in the world, only 29.8% of Afghan women over the age of 15 can read and write. Additionally, due to ongoing conflict and instability, many girls have been out of school for extended periods, with an estimated 3.7 million children, 60% of whom are girls, currently not attending school. These statistics highlight the urgent need for educational opportunities for young girls in the region. At Embrace Relief, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering the next generation of leaders.

To address this critical issue, we are excited to announce our fundraising campaign for the LEARN program, which aims to provide Afghan girls with the opportunity to earn a degree in Computer Applications. This program, in partnership with Amity University Online, equips students with practical skills, opening doors to the virtual job market and ensuring they are prepared for future success. By supporting this initiative, you can help transform the lives of these young women, providing them with the education they need to build a brighter future. Your support will include tuition fees, internet access, and personalised mentorship.

Our Goal: $10,000 by August

We are setting a bold goal to raise $10,000 to help Afghan girls start their college education this August. With your support, we can transform the lives of these young women by providing them with the education they deserve.

For just $80 a month, you can sponsor a girl's college education. Over three years, this amounts to $2,880 per student. Our goal of $10,000 will allow us to sponsor multiple students, covering their tuition for the entire duration of their degree program.

Your donation will cover tuition fees for Afghan girls to study Computer Applications at Amity University Online. With a degree in Computer Applications, these young women can pursue careers as Software Developers, Web Developers, Technical Support Engineers, System Analysts, and Network Administrators. Education empowers these girls to break free from the cycle of poverty and become future leaders in their communities.

Education is More Than Learning

It’s a pathway to empowerment, economic stability, and community growth. Through the LEARN program, we are not just educating girls; we are building future leaders who will contribute to their communities and inspire others. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Let's empower Afghan girls through education and give them the chance to achieve their dreams. Donate today and help us reach our goal of $10,000 by August.

Thank you for being a vital part of this journey. Your generosity and commitment are the foundation upon which we build brighter futures for Afghan girls.
