Campaign story

About this campaign

Life as a refugee can be an isolating, challenging, and perilous journey. This is particularly true for the thousands of Turkish refugees who have fled to neighboring Greece in search of safety and freedom. Many arrive with nothing but hope, facing the daunting challenges of finding employment and housing without government or community support. It’s too familiar for them to feel scared, abandoned, and vulnerable.

However, together, we can change that narrative. The Wellspring Community Center in Connecticut is joining forces with Embrace Relief to provide vital temporary housing for refugee families in Greece. Our fundraiser is designed to cover housing costs for multiple families, addressing one of the most significant barriers to their safety and stability. When refugees have a secure place to call home, they can reclaim their lives and chart their paths, whether they choose to stay in Greece or seek new opportunities elsewhere.

This initiative is about more than just housing; it’s about extending a lifeline and demonstrating that these families are not alone. Your donation sends a powerful message: refugee families are a valued part of our community, and we stand with them as they rebuild their lives.

We invite you to donate today and help the Wellspring Center and Embrace Relief achieve our fundraising goal of $6,800. Your generous contributions will give families the peace of mind they desperately need during their most challenging times. Together, we can create a profound and lasting impact on the lives of these courageous, freedom-seeking refugees!
