Campaign story
Who am I?
I am a 7th grader attending Pioneer Academy. Eyes of Hope is a campaign for children in Africa, launched by the non-profit organization Embrace Relief. It's urgent that we fund the treatment of about 20 cataract patients in Africa, as millions of people in underserved countries around the world do not have access to treatment. Our goal is to raise awareness about this illness and the hardships people face in modern-day Africa.
Cataracts is an easily treatable condition, yet millions of people in underserved countries around the world do not have access to treatment. Your generous $100 donation can restore a person's eyesight and change their life forever. It's a small amount that can make a huge difference.
What am I doing?
This weekend is my birthday, and while my dad and I were talking, we realized that God has given us so many privileges. It is only right to help others have the same opportunities as we do. That's when I thought— instead of receiving gifts from family and friends, what if I asked them to donate instead and help African children see? This cause is close to my heart, and your support would mean the world to me.
Your support means the world to us. This is a small fundraiser for about 20 children, but we hope that it will be the start of many more. Thank you for considering to be a part of this journey.
