Embrace Relief Year End Children
It has already been 6 months since the world was forced to shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. We were advised to wear masks, face shields, and be 6ft socially distant from one another to avoid the spread of the virus. The entire human race was startled from millions of reported COVID-19 cases to thousands of people losing their livelihoods. Currently, there are more than 31 million coronavirus cases. Even though some people have learned to adapt their day-to-day living with the current pandemic, there are still millions of people who are having a hard time coping up with the aftermath of COVID-19. The most recent unemployment rate in the U.S. (from May to July) is 4.1%. Even though they already got their benefits from the government, it’s not enough to get them by. Social distancing is still a luxury they cannot afford Social distancing is a privilege. It means you live in a house good enough to practice it. Hand washing is a privilege too. It means you have access to clean running water. Hand sanitizers are a privilege. It means you have money to buy them. Lockdowns are a privilege. It means you can afford to be at home. All of us who are practicing social distancing and have imposed a lockdown on ourselves are very lucky to have the means because many people won’t be able to do this So far with our COVID-19 Support for the U.S. Campaign, we were able to provide 52,400 masks, 4,180 hot meals for frontline workers, 840 paper towels and 20+ gallons of antibacterial soap to hospitals, 840 face shields, 1700 families got meat packages, and helped 71 families with monetary support. With the coronavirus still ongoing, people are more aware that the virus can be more contagious than ever because of the cold weather. We are expected to see an increase in the COVID-19 cases and are advised to practice strict social distancing. Millions of people are still unable to pay for basic necessities including rent, utilities, and food. With fears of hunger, homelessness, and certain hopelessness on the rise for this already vulnerable population, they need us now more than ever. Together, WE CAN OVERCOME! Together, WE ARE STRONGER. Big or small, every effort counts and it will all have a great impact on someone’s life.  With us getting ready for what’s to come, Embrace Relief is launching a second COVID-19 campaign with your help to provide more for as many people as we can here in the U.S. with financial assistance for rent, food, and utilities during the ongoing pandemic. We simply cannot leave this vulnerable population to face this hardship on their own, and we know that especially in times of collective concern, we must come together to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. You can help ease the burden of these people in need by donating whatever you can to our campaign. It is high time that during these difficult times we set aside our differences to come together, unite, and BE AS ONE. If not NOW, when? If not YOU, then who? You can be that positive change you have been waiting to see in the world.  Alone we can do so little; Together, we can do so much. This too shall pass, and in the end, there’s a bright light waiting for all of us at the end of this dark tunnel. Individually, we are just one drop. TOGETHER, WE ARE AN OCEAN.
