As we are close to the end of November, the holiday season is not that far away now. Before we know it, we will be searching for the perfect gifts for our loved ones whether in-store or online. However, there are thousands of refugees living in Greece that wish they could be doing the same thing, and have to instead fight to survive the upcoming winter. Many of these refugees do not have a warm, safe place to live or even enough food to get by.But all of this can be changed with Facebook’s #GivingTuesday, a day dedicated to helping those in need and spreading holiday cheer around the world. December, 3rd 2019 is the day this takes place, coming back after a massive success last year. Facebook can take up to $7 million in donations throughout this day, and it only took 50 seconds last year to reach the goal! All donations that are collected on #GivingTuesday by us will go directly towards relief for refugees in Greece. Your donations will help them get through the winter through hot meals and safe housing. In addition, it’ll give them a vision of hope for the future, something that is often hard to come by.If you are planning on making a donation, the best thing to do is to prepare in advance for the rush by having your credit card ready to go on your Facebook account, and it can be done in under your payment settings on the website. To get ahead of the rush, we encourage you to make a donation as little as $1 before December 3rd, so all of your credentials will be ready and your donation can be matched. On the 3rd, go all out on how much you want to donate, with a limit of up to $20,000. Remember, it’s first-come-first-served until Facebook hits the $7 million mark!Down below is a step by step guide showing how you can quickly donate.Facebook only does this once a year, and it’s first come first served! It’s an opportunity to help others that you definitely do not want to miss!
