RAMADAN TIMETABLE 2024
Ramadan Mubarak! The holy month is upon us once again, offering billions of Muslims around the world the opportunity to engage in profound reflection, solemn devotion to Allah (SWT), and charity and mercy towards those less fortunate.
In 2024, Ramadan will begin in the United States at sundown during the evening of Monday, March 11. The holy month will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, which begins after sundown on Tuesday, April 9.
Because the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, the dates for the beginning and end of Ramadan change each year, moving back in the calendar by approximately 10-11 days each year. (For example, Ramadan 2025 will likely begin on Feb. 28 or March 1, 2025, and conclude on either March 30 or March 31, 2025.)
Another effect of the lunar cycle is the changing times for each day’s Ramadan prayers, as well as the time for the fast-breaking meal of iftar. Thus, it can be difficult to know when exactly is the proper time for prayer.
Below, we have created a Ramadan Timetable 2024. Simply click on the nearest city to your location, and you will see the start times of each of the day’s mandatory prayers in those cities. (Note: For those who live outside of the cities listed below, the time of sunset may be slightly different in your location. Please consult local authorities to determine the exact time of sunset.)
