I have started a fundraiser to combat health issues in Mali, Africa. I aim to raise enough money for 10 cataract surgeries in the next 10 days. This 10 for 10 mission will amount to $1,000 that will provide 10 people cataract surgeries and 100 health checkups for people via Embrace Relief’s Mobile Health Clinic. This will give 110 people the basic human right to proper health care and will change lives. I wish to give sight back to those who have lost it to cataracts and provide health screenings to others who have little to no access to doctors or hospitals.
Cataract is a progressive disease of the eye(s) that causes blurry vision and, eventually, complete blindness. Although cataracts are easily curable, many individuals in Mali have inadequate access to healthcare. The Rescue will restore vision to those who have lost it and provide proper health screenings.
