About this campaign
Continuous torrential rains in the southern state of Rio Grande de Sul, including the city of Porto Alegre, have caused massive, widespread flooding that has destroyed homes, closed off evacuation routes, and resulted in immense disruption for millions.
The latest government estimates are that 143 people have died and another 132 people are missing. Approximately 537,000 have been displaced from their homes, many forced to live in makeshift shelters until the flood waters recede.
As this crisis continues, our friends in Brazil are reaching out to the international community for urgent material support, including food, clean water, clothing, and other essentials. That is why Embrace Relief is working with our partners in Brazil to deliver this aid to the victims.

Alívio para inundações no Brasil
Mais de meio milhão de pessoas foram deslocadas devido a catastrófica enchente que aconteceu recentemente no sul do Brasil, e elas precisam de sua ajuda urgentemente.
Chuvas torrenciais contínuas no sul do país, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, incluindo a cidade de Porto Alegre, causaram uma severa e devastadora inundação que destruiu casas, fecharam rotas de evacuação e resultaram uma imensa perturbação para milhões de pessoas.
A última estimativa do Governo Brasileiro é de que cerca de 136 pessoas morreram e outras 100 pessoas estão desaparecidas. Aproximadamente 537,000 pessoas foram retiradas de suas casas, muitas forçadas a viver em abrigos improvisados até que as águas das enchentes retrocedam.
