The global refugee crisis remains a critical issue, with individuals and families still seeking safety and asylum. Notably, Turkish refugees continue to seek refuge in Greece, facing significant challenges as they rebuild their lives.
Understanding the Refugee Experience:
As defined, a refugee is someone forced to flee their home country due to danger or persecution. These individuals often leave behind everything they know, hoping for a chance at a safer future. The journey is fraught with uncertainty, and the need for support in their resettlement is paramount.
Ongoing Support for Turkish Refugees in Greece:
In 2025, we continue our commitment to supporting Turkish refugees in Greece. While the immediate needs of emergency shelter remain, the long-term goal is to empower these individuals to integrate and thrive in their new environment. We recognize that the situation is dynamic, and our support must evolve to meet the changing needs.
Our Comprehensive Support System:
Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, and in partnership with the Turkish American Society of Ohio-Columbus (TASO), Embrace Relief will continue to provide:
- Emergency Housing and Basic Necessities: Ensuring safe shelter and access to food and essential supplies.
- Healthcare and Psychological Support: Addressing the physical and emotional trauma experienced by refugees.
- Legal and Financial Assistance: Navigating the complexities of resettlement and providing financial stability.
- English Language Conversational Partnerships Program: Empowering refugees with language skills for better integration and future opportunities.

In 2024, we successfully raised funds to provide critical assistance. In 2025, we aim to build upon this foundation and further expand our support network. We are dedicated to providing sustainable assistance that empowers refugees to rebuild their lives with dignity.

- Removed specific dollar amounts: Since fund raising goals can change, it is better to remove those.
- Generalizing the needs: instead of just saying "emergency housing" it now says "Emergency Housing and Basic Necessities" to broaden the scope of what the funds will be used for.
