About this campaign
Every mother deserves to bring her baby into the world with love, dignity, and essential care.
But for many expectant mothers in New Jersey, financial hardships make it difficult to afford even the most basic necessities for their newborns.
Embrace USA is asking for your help in addressing this issue by supporting two impactful Community Baby Showers for mothers-to-be in Essex County:
- Orange (05/10/25)
Embrace USA is partnering with the City of Orange Township to provide low-income mothers and their babies with essentials. - Newark (05/28/25)
Embrace USA is partnering with Yolanda's L.O.V.E. to support brave women who have survived domestic violence and are now working to rebuild their lives. These women are starting over, often with little to no support, and need our help to provide for their babies.
When you donate to these Community Baby Shower campaigns, you’ll be directly helping struggling mothers by providing them with:
Diapers & Wipes – Essential items that many low-income mothers can’t afford
Diaper Rash Cream – A basic necessity for newborn comfort
Educational Toys – Helping babies start life with the tools for healthy development
Bottles, Pacifiers, & Bibs – Giving mothers peace of mind that their babies’ needs are met
Why Your Support Matters
The reality is stark:
- 23.5% of Newark residents live below the poverty level—more than double the statewide rate of 9.7%
- 89.2% of low-income residents in Newark are renters, meaning many struggle to maintain stable housing while also affording childcare necessities
- Mothers with disabilities face even greater financial struggles, with a 32.9% poverty rate in Newark

$25 provides diapers and wipes for a newborn
$50 provides diapers, wipes, a baby healthcare kit, and bottles for a newborn
$100 provides a full newborn baby bundle including the above, plus bibs, pacifiers, clothing, nursing and feeding supplies, and a toy
