KeepWarm NYC began on a cold January morning, when a few students noticed neighbors on their commute without coats. We started small, buying a handful of winter coats with money we'd saved, and handing them out across the city. What began as a gesture became a movement.

Here's how it works: every $15 donation buys one warm, quality winter coat. Our student volunteers then distribute those coats directly to people in need across all five boroughs, shelters, schools, and street outreach programs. No middlemen, no overhead, just warmth where it's needed most.

We're high schoolers and college students who believe a city this big shouldn't let anyone go cold. Every coat is a small act of care, and together they add up to a warmer New York.
