About this campaign
Life as a refugee can be lonely, difficult, and dangerous. This is particularly true for many of the thousands of Turkish refugees who have fled to neighboring Greece in recent years, searching for their freedom. Most arrive with nothing. They must then immediately confront the challenges of earning income and finding a place to live, without any support from the government or the community-at-large. Many report feeling scared, abandoned, vulnerable.
But they are not alone if we stand together with them. This is why Peace Islands Institute is partnering with Embrace Relief to provide temporary housing to refugee families in Greece! Funds raised through this campaign will cover housing costs for families, providing peace of mind and security in their time of greatest need. This is the single most impactful way we can help this brave, freedom-seeking community. Housing costs represent by far the biggest expense for a family, and your donation can ensure that our refugee friends can live their lives freely, safely, and with dignity.
