The Raise the Children Program covers general, alimentary, and hygiene costs to support orphanage operations.
The program currently supports 2,336 children at the Hiari Orphanage in Tanzania and Foundation Galaxie in the DRC.
Donor support has helped produce 6 university graduates, including engineers, teachers, and a medical doctor.
The Reality for Children in Orphanages
For children, the common goal is to see them playing, laughing, or overall living a carefree life with a smile on his or her little face. However, for many children worldwide, that is often not the case. For the children living in orphanages, their childhood is defined by the conditions of their living situation. These children already deal with the reality that they are not with families of their own every day. Now, they watch COVID-19 affect lives around the world while they live among the populations who are being hit the hardest.
Currently, due to the lack of funding and resources available in most orphanages, there are approximately 140 million children worldwide who require basic necessities. Orphan Care
Sponsor care, food, health, education, and safe living support for orphaned children.
Recently, our program’s new approach dedicates itself to helping children with their needs while also helping maintain the orphanages as a whole. This plan will make sure that every child is included. These are the estimated monthly costs for one orphanage. Your monthly donation will cover the following:
- General (15%): Coverage of costs for general necessities that benefit the function of the orphanage, including gas, charcoal, water, and electrical bills.
- Alimentary (70%): Products for nourishment, including beans, rice, maize flour, wheat flour, sugar, cooking oil, and various spices.
- Hygiene (15%): Items for personal and overall hygiene, including products such as bath soap, powdered soap, toothpaste, and disinfectant.
Impact and Success Stories
As of right now, we have helped 2,336 children through our program. Currently, we have the following orphanages within our program: the Hiari Orphanage in Tanzania and the Foundation Galaxie: Orphelinat Mer Ter in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These children’s ages are from 2 to 17, a critical time in the development of any child.
We are proud to share that The Hiari Orphanage now has 6 university graduates: 3 engineers, 2 teachers, and 1 medical doctor. All thanks to YOU, our amazing donors! We continue to help children in need by supporting them with a brighter future.
